Thai Wah – the first to receive the SAI FSA Silver certification for cassava in Thailand and Southeast Asia

The cassava plantation of our Farm management group of Thai Wah Public Company Limited (Kalasin) has been awarded the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) 3.0 Silver benchmark from the esteemed SAI Platform. This significant milestone, awarded on November 2023, underscores our commitment to sustainable practices in agriculture and stands testament to our unwavering adherence to the core principles of sustainable land management, pollution risk mitigation, safeguarding human rights, and nurturing the livelihoods of our farmers, responsibly sourcing products for our manufacturing—all upheld to the highest standards of excellence.

We want to thank to our Farm team, who have been working hard behind the scenes, and all Thai Wah farmers at Kalasin for passing one of the most comprehensive assessments assured by the SGS. Thai Wah is committed to serving customers and consumers globally as the fundamental objective while striving to create innovation and sustainability from Farm to Shelf continually.

Moreover, TWPC Investment (Cambodia) Company Limited, the latest factory launches under our subsidiary company, has been awarded the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Silver benchmark from the SAI Platform as well.

Thai Wah has joined SAI Platform as a member to learn and support the development of sustainable agriculture continuously. Hataikan Kamolsirisakul, AVP – Group Strategy, Sustainability, Innovation, says “Thai Wah is committed to building a resilient agri-food ecosystem that will benefit People and Planet. We are honoured to become part of the SAI Platform community and look forward to continuously learning and catalysing the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices in Southeast Asia. We aim to support and impact over 1 million farmers in the region by 2028”.

Farm Sustainability Assessment covers land management, risk from applying pesticides, human rights, and farmers’ livelihood. This shows that Thai Wah farmer members have been supported regarding their livelihood and Thai Wah’s cassava has been sourced from sustainable area.
